
![]() Anna Clifton lives and works in the beautiful Malvern Hills and designs and makes jewellery using precious metals and various recycled materials. Her work is modern and unique, yet rooted in nature and cultural traditions. Anna’s interest in art and design started at a very early age, when even on starting primary school, she would often tell her teachers’ that she was going to be an artist when she grew up! Anna continued to follow this dream all the way through school, producing numerous drawings, paintings and three dimensional work. At age 16 she visited a careers fair where she discovered that she could study for a degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing and from this point on, Anna decided that this was going to be her chosen path. On completion of her degree, Anna studied for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and taught Art and Design & Technology full time for several years before finally making the decision to set up as a designer/maker in 2006. Anna has always been passionate about nature and the environment and so this is a constant influence on both her life and work, as is her interest in eastern culture, especially after she won a bursary to travel to India while in the final year of her degree. Anna uses traditional gold and silversmithing techniques, working in, precious metals, gemstones and various recycled materials.
